Recommended: Soulwax bring Soulwaxmas to The Warehouse Project

Next week, Soulwax are back in Manchester for a special instalment of their Soulwaxmas parties. While it’s certainly not the first time Soulwax have played in Manchester (or even at The Warehouse Project), it is the first Soulwaxmas here and with the likes of Erol Alkan, The 2 Bears and previous Now Wave guest Kindness appearing on the line-up, it’s one of the most exciting events at this year’s The Warehouse Project.

Soulwax have just released the latest in their Radio Soulwax programmes. An hour-long audio-visual tribute to David Bowie, ‘DAVE’ is Soulwax at their most hare-brained and original and showcases exactly what’s exciting us most about their appearance at The Warehouse Project – restless, imaginative mixing, married with the most stunning of visuals both new and old.

The event will also be a chance to see Adam Bainbridge, aka Kindness, and his full live band on what is likely their biggest stage to date. Having brought them to Soup Kitchen for their first headline show in Manchester back in March, we’re thrilled that Kindness have been hand-picked by the Dewaele Brothers to appear as live support. Bainbridge’s debut LP ‘World, You Need A Change Of Mind’ has featured highly on numerous ‘Best of 2012′ lists and is doubtless one of the most inventive and unique releases of the year. Kindness’ support slots with Soulwax – including two dates at Brixton Academy immediately after his show at The Warehouse Project – tie up his busiest, and best, year to date. We can’t wait to see him again.
